Call Accounting/Voicemail
Prophet-H
The Prophet-H is designed to operate with telephone systems that possess Station Message Detail Recording (SMDR) capability. When a guest hangs up the telephone after making a call, the system sends information on that call through the SMDR port to the Prophet-H system.
The Prophet-H system then goes to work on call termination. The information stored includes:
- Room number where call was placed
- Number dialed
- Date and time of placed call
- Duration of call
Collectively, this information is referred to as a "call record." After the Prophet-H collects this information, reports may then be generated for the desired room number. Prior to report generation, costs for the respective calls are calculated based on desired markups and/or surcharges.
Report Generation
Reports may be generated from the Prophet-H system in three ways: 1) via the telephone 2) automatically or 3) by using the optional keypad.
Telephone Report Generation
On-demand reports may be generated from a telephone connected to the telephone system by entering a special command string (system access code).
Automatic Report Generation
Reports may also be generated on an automatic basis. Calls stored in system memory may be automatically printed at a pre-determined time and then cleared. Normally, this feature is used in conjunction with a night audit procedure with which all calls are posted to individual guest folios manually.
