Stephen A. Singlar (Founder & President, CEO)
Steve is the founder of Single Digits, where he is responsible for the company’s long-term goals and strategic partnerships. He brings over two decade’s of experience in many aspects of technology, including sales, marketing, support and management, all the while leveraging a complementary blend of hardware and software expertise.
Before establishing Single Digits, Steve held senior global sales positions for Enterasys’ vertical markets that included the United States federal government, service providers and health care organizations. Prior to joining Enterasys, Steve achieved accolades at Cisco Systems and Arrowpoint Communications, receiving each company’s top achievement awards as well as recognition for his success at Cabletron Systems.
Steve earned a B.A. in Political Science from the University of New Hampshire. He’s a natural leader who has built an excellent reputation within tech circles by consistently solving business challenges through technology and process. Outside of Single Digits, Steve enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. An avid runner, Steve is a Boston sports enthusiast and enjoys playing the harmonica and guitar.
Robert Goldstein (Founder)
Bob brings over 20 years of IP networking industry leadership, sales and financial management experience. Prior to co-founding Single Digits, Bob built and managed another successful startup, RGS Communications Inc., where he quickly implemented a channel-driven sales and marketing strategy to grow structured cabling solution sales to over $2 million annually. Since 2003, Bob has led Single Digits organic sales growth initiatives to become one of the fastest growing companies in NH, now employing over 400 people.
Bob received a B.S. in Economics from the University of Southern Maine, at which he played four years of varsity tennis, and later earned an M.B.A. from Plymouth State College. Bob enjoys spending time on the slopes with his wife and three children, and passionately volunteers his time as a youth baseball coach.
Jon Danielson (CFO)
Jon Danielson is the CFO of Single Digits, responsible for the financial and legal management of the company and general corporate development.
Prior to joining Single Digits, Jon was a private equity investor at Spring Lake Equity Partners (f/k/a/ Tudor Ventures) for over 15 years. While at Spring Lake/Tudor, Jon was an investor in and board member of Single Digits for over four years prior to the company’s acquisition by Bregal Sagemount. Before Tudor, Jon was a technology investment banker at JPMorgan and a consultant at Bain & Company.
Jon graduated from Duke University with a B.S.E. in Electrical Engineering and from Harvard Business School with an M.B.A. He lives in Sudbury, MA with his wife and three young children.
Aaron Dufoe (Senior Vice President of Revenue)
Throughout his career, Aaron has held executive leadership positions mostly focused on Sales and Business Development. Prior to Single Digits, Aaron served as CEO of Scout Trading Systems, a cloud based ERP/CRM solution for the electronics distribution marketplace, which was acquired in January 2012. Prior to Scout Trading Systems, Aaron spent 9 years as the Executive Vice President of WW Sales for NTP Software, a data management software company.
Aaron holds a Bachelor’s degree and an MBA from Rivier College. While at Rivier, Aaron honed his leadership skills in the classroom, workplace, as well as the basketball court, and was recently rewarded with an induction into the New England Basketball Hall of Fame. Aaron now focuses his passion for sports and family by coaching his children’s sports teams. He lives in Nashua with his wife Kira and their children Sam, Carlie, and Holly.
Brandi Emerson (VP of People and Culture)
As Vice President of People and Culture, Brandi is responsible for creating and implementing an innovative people strategy for Single Digits. Brandi’s key areas of focus include promoting a vibrant company culture, enhancing Single Digits’ employment brand, providing leadership and employee development and ensuring a positive and fulfilling employment experience.
Brandi earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Human Resource Management (HRM) from Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) and is currently enrolled in the MBA program at SNHU. She holds dual HR certifications from the HR Certification Institute as well as Society for Human Resource Management.
Brandi enjoys mentoring new HR professionals, supporting the community and spending time with her family.
Erin Copeland (Vice President Corporate Strategy)
Erin Copeland came to Single Digits as part of the GTS acquisition in 2009. She served as the VP of Professional Services and has worked in an operational capacity for most of Single Digits’ departments including leadership roles in Support, Sales, and the Professional Services Group. Her specialties include creating and implementing custom reports and analytics, leading and motivating teams, anticipating and responding to customer needs, driving project and team productivity and operational forecasting.
Erin holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of New Hampshire and an M.B.A. from Southern New Hampshire University.
Gerard Goubert (Vice President, Cloud Architecture)
Gerard Goubert is the Vice President of Cloud Architecture at Single Digits. Gerard works on Cloud Architecture and implementation while shifting from IaaS to PaaS for complete SaaS offerings at scale with instrumentation. He also builds large centralized systems for monitoring and reporting, compliance and data analysis. Gerard also works as a Networking Consultant for the City of Portsmouth where he deals with network security and wireless mesh consulting. Before joining Single Digits, Gerard served as a Professional Services Engineer for IneoQuest Technologies where he provided expert level software customization, automation and special projects for large IPTV and Multicast Video providers. He also reduced nominal deployment time by at least 10 orders of magnitude. Gerard has also worked for Cisco and Juniper Networks in the wireless and security arenas, as well as working with various alliances and standards bodies: IETF, IEEE, and ETSI, Wi-Fi Alliance, WiMAX Forum, and has co-authored several standards.
Gerard attended Phillips Exeter Academy, and later received a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Electrical Engineering and High Speed Digital Communications Design from the University of New Hampshire. At UNH, Gerard worked for the UNH-IOL, a premiere networking laboratory, and managed several technology consortiums during his time there.
John Nelson (Vice President, Software Engineering)
John is responsible for the design and development of Single Digits’ software solutions. He brings 20 years of experience managing professional software organizations and delivering enterprise software solutions in an agile environment. Prior to joining Single Digits, John was Director of R&D for the electronics division of Siemens PLM Software, where he managed a distributed software engineering team with locations around the world, and was responsible for the development and delivery of mission-critical planning, monitoring, and tracking solutions. Prior to this, he was an R&D manager for MKS Instruments, delivering pressure measurement and adaptive control systems to the semiconductor industry.
John earned B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of New Hampshire. He also served on the Board of Directors of the Software Association of New Hampshire. Outside of Single Digits, John enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. He is also a judo instructor at the Portsmouth Judo Club, and a long-time New England Patriots season ticket holder.
Matt Decker (Vice President, Technical Services)
As Vice President of Technical Services, Matt is responsible for all aspects of the managed services teams for Single Digits. He brings 18 years of experience managing people and technology in rapidly changing environments. Matt started his career at age 16 with the start of his first business venture during the dot com boom, and prior to joining Single Digits, held several positions with a nationwide pharmacy in management and technical training. Matt is truly an entrepreneur by heart with an inherent talent for improving effectiveness and efficiency of operations for the growth of the organization, as well as the team.
Outside of Single Digits, Matt enjoys playing soccer and spending time with his wife and three children.
Scott Jamison (Vice President Brand Management)
Scott Jamison was the VP of Field Operations and has over 20 years technical and management experience in computer and broadband networking, with extensive background in Wi-Fi network engineering, planning, and deployment specifically as it relates to high-density and hospitality environments.
Prior to joining Single Digits, Scott was a co-founder and Vice President of Operations of Ze-Net Technologies, Inc., and was responsible for the design and development of the Local Area Network infrastructure used to support Ze-Net’s voice, data and video (“triple play”) solutions as well as managing the installation, service, and support operations of that organization.
He has earned a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from the University of North Texas and a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer certification at Southern Methodist University SEAS. He holds certifications on multiple Mitel Communications Platforms as well as Ruckus WiSE Certifications and remains active at UNT as an advisor at the College of Business.
Jennifer Parmenter (Controller)
Jen Parmenter serves as the Controller of Single Digits. Jen is responsible for all accounting and finance operations including the management of general ledgers, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, purchasing, inventory, internal controls, audits, treasury and financial reporting. Jen also manages all monthly close activities including the preparation of GAAP-based financial reports. She also assists to drive in the growth of the corporate business through leadership, strategic planning, financial forecasting and analysis. Before joining Single Digits, Jen was the Program Control Manager at SAIC. At SAIC, she was responsible for directing and managing program controls for a complex Firm Fixed Price (FFP) $100M program split between two contracts.
Jen received her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from California Lutheran University, Summa Cum Laude, where she served as ASCLU Controller from 1998-1999 and was a resident assistant. She then earned her MBA from Norwich University with Honors and was Valedictorian of her class. Jen volunteers as a High School Youth Mentor at Bethany Covenant Church in Bedford, NH in her free time.
Bret Clark (Director, Global Network Architecture & IT Engineering)
Bret Clark serves as the Director of Global Network Architecture at Single Digits. Bret is responsible for overseeing the development of Single Digits 1Cloud network, both wired and wireless, and cloud based infrastructure for the development into areas such as hospitality, retail, city transit, and office/business solutions throughout the world. Before joining the Single Digits team, Bret was the co-founder and COO/CTO of Spectra Access where he was responsible for the implementation and build-out of New Hampshire’s largest business-based fixed-wireless telecommunications network based on 4G concepts.
Bret received a degree in Digital Computer Electronics from Northern Essex Community College and has been involved with several IEEE and IETF comittees. Outside of Single Digits, Bret activly bikes and water/snow skis through out the year. He also provides volunteer services to New Hampshire Audubon for their live falcon web cam donoting expertise as a network and video architect.
Scott Buehrle (VP of Sales, MDU Markets)
As the Vice President of MDU Market Sales, Mr. Buehrle is responsible for all aspects of new business development, sales, and marketing strategies employed throughout Single Digits’ student housing and multifamily division. Scott joined Single Digits as part of the Airwave Networks acquisition in November of 2017, and brings over 14 years of experience in student housing and telecommunications industries. While at Airwave Networks, Scott was instrumental in the design, development, and implementation of Airwave Networks’ innovative mobile apps and pacesetting IoT products and services platform. Prior to joining Airwave Networks in 2005, Scott worked various property management roles for one of the largest student housing management companies in the industry.
Scott earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry from Penn State University. Outside of Single Digits, Scott enjoys spending time with his wife Danielle and their two children Aidan and Conor. He has coached baseball and lacrosse, enjoys travel, and is an avid Nittany Lions fan.
Chip Edwards (Director of TV Solutions)
Mr. Edwards joined Single Digits as the Director of Video Solutions in November of 2017 as a part of the acquisition of Airwave Networks. Prior to joining Single Digits, he was the Vice President of Research and Development at Airwave Networks.
His career spans over 35 years of experience in research, development and management of advanced communications and networking technologies for both commercial and military applications. At Airwave Networks, Mr. Edwards was responsible for expanding and improving the Airwave Networks Product Line while keeping an eye on new technologies and trends. During his time at Airwave Networks Mr. Edwards developed the cable TV product area and has been responsible for establishing the company’s low voltage wiring standards and designs.
Prior to joining Airwave Networks, Mr. Edwards was a Senior Principal Systems Engineer at BAE Systems, Inc. In this role, he provided leadership in the development of advanced technologies with an emphasis on radio communications and networks. His primary customer was DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency). He was the lead engineer on a variety of research efforts focusing on reliable, high-performance networks for military and commercial sectors. Over the course of his career, his research focus areas have included communication networks for mobile robots and unattended sensors, software configurable airborne communications nodes, ultra-reliable wireless voice networks, and advanced radio-frequency signal processing systems.
Mr. Edwards received his electrical engineering degree from the University of Virginia in 1981. He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and BICSI.
Joe Martin (Director, Product Innovation Group)
Joe Martin is the Director of the Product Innovation Group and came to Single Digits as part of the GTS acquisition in 2009. Joe has worked in all areas of the company including Marketing, Sales & Business Development, Engineering, Support, & Professional services and leverages those experiences to define product & service strategies and internal DevOps oversight.
Joe holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering from University of New Hampshire.
Keith Kondrat (Director, Quality Assurance)
Keith Kondrat is the Vice President of Engineering at Single Digits. Before joining the company, Keith was the Senior Manager of Quality Assurance Engineering Management at Fidelity Investments. There he was responsible for managing a global team of automation quality assurance engineers for the Personal Investments (PI) Mobile division. Keith also serves as Senior Manager of Software Quality Assurance Engineering at Monseter.
Keith studied at Hesser College and received a degree in computer science.
Mike Murray (Director, Field Operations)
Mike Murray is the Director of Field Operations at Single Digits and brings more than a decade of operational and managerial experience to the team. As Director of Field Operations, he is responsible for the collaborative effort between Solutions Engineering, Network Engineering, and Project Management to design, configure, and deploy HSIA networks while providing a positive customer experience. Mike is focused on developing operational processes to increase efficiency and quality, as well as improving communication to build satisfaction for both internal and external stakeholders. Prior to joining Single Digits Mike worked for Dish Network as Field Service Manager, facilitating daily operations for their location covering the Southern part of New Hampshire. At Dish, he was responsible for providing direction, motivation, and coaching for his team of field technicians to develop individual skills and meet company goals.
Outside of Single Digits Mike is often found running or enjoying family time with his wife and two children.
Neil Schonwald (Director, Software Development)
Neil Schonwald joined Single Digits in 2014 as the Director of Software Development. Neil’s entry into the technical world started with him studying Physics at the University of New Hampshire, Neil worked on the Compton Gamma Ray Observatory, a space based telescope, launched on the Space Shuttle in 1991, it was one of NASAs “Great Observatories in Space”. Wanting to experience the startup world, Neil moved from academia to the private sector to a company called Qosnetics writing code to test core routers, that was later purchased by HP and later spun off as Agilent Technologies. Firmly in the telecommunications business, he then moved to another startup, Meetinghouse Communications creating 802.1X supplicants, which was then purchased by Cisco Systems in 2006. After 8 years at Cisco, returning to a small company Elbrys, writing code for HP switches and delving into the world of SDN and OpenFlow technologies, consulting with HP on security applications.
