Profile management can be suppressed in the SDKs for particular cellular operators or if other applications are installed on a device and set how often to check for updates.
The policy manager can also push notifications to devices to trigger updates automatically when policies are saved, or manually generated with an optional filter by OS, app version, and user identity.
Third-party developers can use the available alpha and beta channels for integration updates. These channels allow developers peace of mind and a place to configure and test updates without affecting the current production settings.
Privacy is increasingly important to users and network owners alike. Using ConnectionAssist allows profiles to be configured with several different credential types:
Using ConnectionAssist or network provider-generated credentials means the users’ data is never shared directly with networks, helping to mitigate the risk of credential theft. ConnectionAssist can generate per-user or per-device credentials for each network the user has access to further reducing the risk of abuse of network accounts. All aspects of ConnectionAssist Identity Management are available via API and an online portal.
Our Mobile “Find and Connect” apps include the SDK functionality to simplify the user onboarding process and these apps can be customized to match your company’s branding. The “Find” feature is also available without the SDK functionality so that you can show your users where your Wi-Fi service is available.
